SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS:
Include your contact persons name, physical return
address, telephone number and a
packing
slip with each
order. We prefer you use the packing slip available on
this web site (white copy mail to Fur Tanning Inc.
Yellow copy place in envelope and secure to your
package. Pink copy retain for your records). Please send
one packing list with each separate shipment. If more
than one box is shipped always mark the box for example
box 1 of 4, 2 of 4 etc.
Shipping cost is the
responsibility of the customer.
Use a cardboard box and add
newspaper for packing to help adsorb moisture, do not
ship in plastic. Ship on Monday or Tuesday this will
help ensure we receive it before Friday.
When you are requesting
SPECIAL SERVICES or WET TANS please make accurate notes
on the packing slip and mark the out side of the box
accordingly.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Fish and Wildlife
requires a license number for the following: hunting,
trapping, fur buyer or taxidermist number or other
document number.
- All tanning is hair on we
do not do leather.
- All hides must be
properly prepared for tanning or our normal service
charges will be applied at a shop rate of $65.00 per hr.
Add 50% extra charge for rush orders on a 30 business
day turn around.
- Normal turn around time
is 60 to 90 days. To qualify for volume discounts all
skins must be received at the tannery the same day.
Discounts will not be given when skins are not part of
the shipment.
- Prices are subject to
change with notice.
- There is a $25.00 fee on
returned checks and shipments.
- We reserve the right to
refuse to process and handle skins that are unfit for
hair on tanning you will be contacted about problem.
PAYMENT POLICIES:
To help our customers defer one lump sum payment,
Fur Tanning Inc tannery requires 50% deposit upon
shipment of your skins. When your skins are received you
will receive a confirmation copy with a listing of all
types, numbers and conditions of skins. If there are any
discrepancies or problems please contact us immediately.
Once your order is completed you will be invoiced for
the final charges including freight. Once your payment
is received your skins will be shipped. Skins not paid
for 90 days after invoice date will be sold for tanning
services.
CODING THE CAPE OR
HIDE:
It is very important that all hides be punched in
the same general area every time by Fur Tanning Inc
tannery. Thus we are asking customers to place their
punches in a location other than where we punch the
capes or hides. Please remember to small punch small
thin skinned or wooly animals. A large punch may cause
the hides to tear easily and the hair to matt up on both
sides of the hide. Fur Tanning Inc tannery punches in
the following areas looking at the hair side down.
- Capes left side of
brisket and below left ear.
- Pelts & life size
left of tail and below left ear.
- Full hides left of
tail and left side of neck.
- Legs, feet and tails
placed according to their size
